Elmore was a devoted family man, loving husband and father. He needed to move from place to place as a musician, but always kept his family provided for. His musical talent was discovered when he was just a small boy and that led to his occupation and a lifelong love of all music. Elmore never used the first name Francis. He was known as Elmore or profesionally as FE Crowhurst.
