Francis Elmore Crowhurst
F. Elmore was the 8th child and 3rd son of
William and Clara Crowhurst. He was born on the 19th of May, 1890
and died on the 4th of September 1931 from an infection. He was a musician,
playing organ for the silent movies, with the Charlie Marshall HillBilly band
and had a 1/2 hour classical organ music show on radio before he died. Levi was born on the 8th of September 1871 in Utah. He married Etta in
1890. He worked as a mover driving a van all over the East Bay. He died on
the 22nd of November, 1948. Etta was born on the 3rd of March, 1873 in Vallejo, Ca. She raised her 9
children (one adopted) in the family home at 1529 Carlton in Berkeley, Ca.
She died on the 26th of June, 1963.

Melva Amelia (Pringle) Crowhurst
Melva A. Crowhurst was born on the 28th of July,
1894 in San Francisco. She married F. Elmore on the 10th of Feb., 1911.
She was an amateur photographer and left many family photos cronicling the
family history.

Clara M. (Brusie) Crowhurst
Clara (Clarissa Maria) was born on the 11th of January,
1850 in Sangerfield, NY her family brought her to the gold country
(Sonora, Ca) while she was still a very young child. She married William
Crowhurst on the 10th of January, 1869. They worked as school teachers in
Vallejo, San Francisco, and Oakland, Ca and raised 5 sons and 2 daughters
(two other daughters died very young) She died on the 20th of Nov, 1925.

William Crowhurst
William was born on the 1st of August, 1844 in England, he
migrated to California in 18??. After his marriage to Clara he taught school
in Vallejo, Ca and became superintendent of schools. He later worked at the
schools in San Francisco, and Oakland. A large part of his life was devoted
to the Women's Cristian Temperance League for whom he traveled to lecture on
the evils of drink. He died on 15th of March, 1927.

Harold Elmore Crowhurst
Harold was born on the 10th of October, 1915. During WWII he was paymaster
in the army, stationed in the South Pacific. He returned and became paymaster
for Southern Pacific Railroad. He had six sons and a daughter. He died in
Santa Rosa, Ca on the 29th of October 1996.

John Albert Crowhurst
John was born on the 5th of October, 1918. During WWII he was a medic
in the army, stationed in the South Pacific. He returned and became a carpet
and lineoleum layer. He has two sons and two daughters. He lives with his
wife Lauretta in Santa Rosa.
